Tracy McKay
Tracy McKay is a family law attorney whose unconventional path to the practice of law is marked by adventure and commitment to advocacy. With a background in writing, editing, and community service, Tracy spent years championing children’s disability rights before deciding to pursue a law degree as her children entered high school. As a proud first-generation college graduate, she earned her Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law, graduating with honors in the top ten of her class.
Tracy’s professional journey includes serving as a policy fellow on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. and working for the Department of Homeland Security. Her family’s move to Colorado led her to the role of Deputy District Attorney for the 4th Judicial District, where she honed her legal skills before transitioning to family law at Liberty Law Center.
In her family law practice, Tracy takes a collaborative approach, recognizing that she is working with individuals facing complex legal issues surrounding divorce, child custody and domestic relations. She combines compassionate and effective representation with a deep understanding of the emotional and financial challenges her clients encounter. Tracy is dedicated to achieving favorable and fair outcomes while minimizing conflict and empowering clients through education and open communication.
Outside her legal practice, Tracy enjoys writing cooking, and appreciating Colorado’s abundant natural beauty. She treasures spending time with her family, which helps her maintain a balanced perspective on life’s challenges.
