I come from a family with no lawyers, so my path to the legal field was anything but traditional.
Right after college, I dove into the world of freelance writing in Hollywood. After years of hard work, I was fortunate enough to sell one of my scripts. Watching that movie come to life on set was an incredible experience—seeing the actors and crew bring my words to reality was a dream come true.
However, that excitement turned to frustration when the production company chose to shelve the film, finding it more profitable to write it off for tax purposes than to put it out in theaters. That experience left me feeling cheated, and I realized that if I had a better understanding of contracts, I could help myself and other writers avoid the same pitfalls I had encountered. This realization ignited my interest in the law and ultimately led me to pursue a legal education.
The first time I watched a criminal trial in law school, however, something just clicked.
My new-found passion for trial work shifted my focus from writing rooms to the courtroom.
After graduating from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2013, I began my legal career with a strong commitment to justice and advocacy. I spent five years at the District Attorney’s Office in Colorado Springs, where I had the privilege of working in some of the most challenging and sensitive areas of law. My time in the Crimes Against Children and Special Victims Unit, as well as the DUI Court program, solidified my dedication to protecting the vulnerable and ensuring fairness in the legal process.
Today, I focus that passion on providing thorough legal research and behind-the-scenes support to help my clients achieve the best possible outcomes. With a unique blend of creative and legal expertise, I am dedicated to offering insightful, effective legal support that meets the highest standards of the profession.
