It’s just a traffic offense. Do I really need an attorney?

We recommend you consult with an experienced criminal defense attorney if you have been arrested or ticketed for driving while under revocation (driving with a revoked or suspended driver’s license). Your freedom and your rights depend on it. These types of charges carry hefty financial penalties as well as the real possibility of jail time. We at the Liberty Law Center have more than 30 years of experience in practice and we are dedicated to defending people accused of driving under revocation. Let us put our experience to work for you.

Driving Under Revocation – What are the Risks?

There are a number of ways your driver’s license can be revoked in Colorado. It is tempting to drive on a revoked driver’s license, but the penalties are severe. At your arrest, you could be required to post bond and your vehicle may be impounded. It is a misdemeanor offense, punishable by up to six months in the county jail, with a fine of $50 to $500, as well as an extension of the revocation of your driver’s license if convicted. The goal of our attorneys at Katzman, Beck & Thom, P.C.  is to provide timely counsel for a positive outcome.

Have You Lost Your License Due to Excess Alcohol or Refusing a Chemical Test?

If you were driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level over .08 (over .02 if under 21), or you refused chemical testing of your blood or breath, your driver’s license may be revoked. The penalties for driving under revocation (driving with a revoked driver’s license) are severe and may impact your life for a long time to come. If your license was revoked due to excessive alcohol for the first time, you may request an early reinstatement from the Department of Motor Vehicles after one month of no driving. We can walk you through this process and help you get your license back even after it has been revoked.
