I come from a family with no lawyers, so my path to the legal field was anything but traditional.

Right after college, I dove into the world of freelance writing in Hollywood. After years of hard work, I was fortunate enough to sell one of my scripts. Watching that movie come to life on set was an incredible experience—seeing the actors and crew bring my words to reality was a dream come true.

However, that excitement turned to frustration when the production company chose to shelve the film, finding it more profitable to write it off for tax purposes than to put it out in theaters. That experience left me feeling cheated, and I realized that if I had a better understanding of contracts, I could help myself and other writers avoid the same pitfalls I had encountered. This realization ignited my interest in the law and ultimately led me to pursue a legal education.

The first time I watched a criminal trial in law school, however, something just clicked.

My new-found passion for trial work shifted my focus from writing rooms to the courtroom.

After graduating from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2013, I began my legal career with a strong commitment to justice and advocacy. I spent five years at the District Attorney's Office in Colorado Springs, where I had the privilege of working in some of the most challenging and sensitive areas of law. My time in the Crimes Against Children and Special Victims Unit, as well as the DUI Court program, solidified my dedication to protecting the vulnerable and ensuring fairness in the legal process.

Today, I focus that passion on providing thorough legal research and behind-the-scenes support to help my clients achieve the best possible outcomes. With a unique blend of creative and legal expertise, I am dedicated to offering insightful, effective legal support that meets the highest standards of the profession.

I graduated from Liberty Tree Academy in Colorado Springs and earned my Associate’s Degree in Paralegal and Legal Assistant Studies from Pikes Peak State College in May 2025. I joined Liberty Law Center as an intern in June 2025 and officially became a member of the team in September 2025.

At Liberty Law Center, I support the legal team by managing discovery for each case, including written reports, body-worn camera footage, photographs, and other forms of evidence. I ensure that all evidence is properly organized and available for both the attorney’s and the client’s review. I also serve as the case manager for all Colorado Springs Municipal Court cases and schedule client appointments with our attorney, William Beck.

I was inspired to pursue a career in the legal field by my aunt, who is a paralegal, and I was drawn to criminal law because many members of my family work in law enforcement. I truly enjoy helping clients and giving them peace of mind by knowing that someone is in their corner during a difficult time.

When I’m not at work, I love to travel and document my experiences through scrapbooking.

I joined Liberty Law Center in January 2001. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Colorado State University in May 2000 and completed my Paralegal Certificate at the Denver Paralegal Institute in January 2001.

Although I loved studying Anthropology in college, I did not want to spend many more years in higher education to pursue a career in that field. I have always had a strong interest in the legal field—especially criminal law—so earning my paralegal certificate was a natural next step for me.

As the Firm Administrator, I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm and assist the owner with a wide range of business-related tasks. I also serve as an intake specialist, perform several case management duties, and communicate directly with our clients.

I am driven by being an advocate for our clients during difficult times. Having been with Liberty Law Center for over 25 years, I strive to make each client’s experience as positive and stress-free as possible by using the problem-solving and customer service skills I have developed throughout my career.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and getting outdoors to enjoy all the beautiful places Colorado has to offer. I also love reading and watching TV and movies—probably a little too much!

I joined Liberty Law Center in July 2008 and hold an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Pikes Peak State College.
Before joining the firm, I worked in a variety of industries, including construction, retail, banking, food service, and insurance defense. Those experiences gave me valuable perspective and people skills, but I didn’t discover my true passion until I began working in criminal defense.

With more than 17 years of experience as a paralegal, I support our clients by using both my professional knowledge and life experience to build strong working relationships with DMV personnel, treatment agencies, public service organizations, court clerks, and interlock providers. These connections help make what can be a very stressful time easier for our clients. I have also spent several years assisting clients with reinstating their driving privileges after DUI-related revocations and other point suspensions.

I truly enjoy getting to know our clients, and I take pride in being their advocate as they navigate the criminal justice system.
